  • How do you "Cherry Pick" #1s, Champs & guys coming off career wins?

To fight Floyd you need a few things.
You have to be comming off a win, not just any win, but an impressive one.
Mosley KOd plaster boy, #1 WW/Champ.
Ortiz took apart Berto impressively, WW Champ.
Cotto beat his in the ring assaulter, JMW Champ.
JMM was #2 P4P, and spanking young champs. Plus he was the thorn in Mannys side.
    Oscar JMW champ....
Hatton just KOd JLC, the guy who gave Floyd problems.
Do we see a trend here?

Belts/Titles dont make the fighter. Baldomir was the lineal WW champ after he beat Judah yet he was crap. He had 9 losses when he faced Floyd then went on to lose 3 of his next 5 fights after facing Floyd. He was a typical journeyman who was fortunate enough to be underestimated by the then mental midget Zab Judah

Hatton Vs Castillo was a very bad example

This is sig worthy. Some folks forget too easily and claim: "Oh, but they weren't in their primes when they fought."

They want to make it the paradox of Floyd's career.

Because most those fighters aren't that good.

You expect more credit for Mayweather winning those fights than he actually deserves. That's where the problem always arises between Mayweather's diehards and everyone else.
