DSLR Camera Lenses

That's the camera that I have. I've experimented with zoom lenses so far, but now I am looking for a lens to take super close up, detailed shots. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for?

I'd like to stay around $500 as this is not a huge hobby for me, but I'd be willing to go over for the right product.

leica is top quality very expensive equipment but worth spending the money if you're a camera buff!

Yeah, i have that same one. I'm looking for one specifically for shooting at close proximity. Macro lenses? Is that what i should be looking for?

Nikkor macro lens, can be pricey though
