    I think a voter does needs to know the core things each candidate represents.

    These people shouldn't be able to vote. If you think Sarah Palin was Obamas VP choice you shouldn't vote.

        I laughed at that, but let's be honest, it isn't funny.

        Doesn't it shame the Republicans here that the core of their support are like this? Doesn't it shame them that they exploit the ignorance and fear of these people for votes? Never trust a Republican who claims to be for Education, because he must know that education will lose them many votes.

        I'm not having a go at Americans here, because we have people like that in Britain as well, but our political parties don't exploit ignorance to get votes because it's not needed. Our tabloid papers do that for them.
