  • Anybody hear who won the Fedosov vs. Whitaker fight?

Up-and-coming HW Andrei Fedosov fought veteran Lance Whitaker tonight in Hollywood, California.

Does anyone know the result? I have the results of the card except for the main event.

    From fight news:

    By Francisco Salazar at ringside

Heavyweight Damian “Bolo” Wills won a hard-fought 10 round unanimous decision over Lionel Butler (32-17-1, 25 KO’s). Wills landed the more effective punches, although Butler landed his share as well. Butler stunned Wills in the second, but Wills (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) was able to recover and dominated the action. Wills opened a nasty cut over Butler’s left eye in the ninth, but Butler scored a knockdown in the same round. With blood coming out profusely from his eye, Butler traded hard shots with Wills in the 10th. Both had their moments in the 10th until the final bell. All three judges scored the bout for Wills, with scores of 99-91, 99-91, and 98-92.

Lightweight Art Bernetsyan (3-0) won a four round unanimous decision over wild-swinging Ramon Flores (3-7-1, 1 KO). Although Flores landed the occassional wild hook or cross, the more-polished Bernetsyan controlled the action. All three judges had Bernetsyan winning by scores of 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37.
    —–
Super Welterweight Johnny Suarez (6-3-2, 2 KO’s) won by knockout when Hedi Bouaziz (1-3) did not come out for the third round of a scheduled four round bout. Bouaziz looked dizzy in between rounds.
    —–
Lightweight Alejandro Luna (2-0, 1 KO) stopped Alejandro Cortez (0-6) at 2:59 of the third round of a scheduled four round bout. Luna dropped Cortez with a left hand to the head and battered him until referee Jack Reiss stepped in and stopped the bout.

Just found out from fight news:

Heavyweight Lance “Mount” Whitaker (35-6-1, 28 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over up-and-coming Andrey Fedosov (21-2, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at the famed Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. Fedosov dropped the 38-year-old Whitaker with a left hook in round five, but in the end Whitaker prevailed 115-112, 114-113 on two cards. Fedosov was up 115-112 on the third card.
