I hate the question, because it suggests that Roy's previous accomplishments are wiped out somehow because he has plummeted since he began losing, but if he had more people would be saying he belonged there. He wouldn't, of course, but more people would say so.

No he wouldn't have made the top 5 or top 10

No, he just doesn't have the resume to be considered for the top 10. Head to head I'd put him in there, but that simply isn't provable.

He was a great fighter at his peak and there was talk about him possibly being the GOAT in magazines i read at the time. They were even dis cussing him and Lennox with lennox being too much for him.

Boxings all about opinions and people get sensitive at times.

I know if he retired after the Ruiz fight he'd be incredibly overrated at this point.

But, sadly, how his career has gone after that has made him become underrated.

Theres a saying you judge a fighter at the end of their careers when they are retired, but the thing is if you contine to fight past your best you will of course lose, so you cant be judged when your past your peak really can you?
You go by your prime and RJJ beat Toney and BH and heavyweight title. Its good stuff.
Maybe he could have beat Benn, and Eubank.
