Sampson’s role is to promote and WORK for David’s fights. A Champion wants to unify and the Promoter is saying he wants to prolong it to make more money. That is against the Ali Act. The video was before David’s tweet, and the reporter is an LDBC scumbag. I like how affiliates are trying to work together for damage control

He has the power to veto who David fights per contract agreement. He doesn't work for David.

All Promoters work for the fighter dummy. That’s the whole point of the Ali Act. The contract states how many fights for the fighter not who he is fighting.

You do realize the reason Sampson says this? It’s per Haymon’s orders to provide a platform for his guys. That’s why Sampson Boxing can’t say what is next without Haymon’s approval. DiBella been saying this. Plus Sampson Boxing is generalizing that more money will come, but that goes for any other fighter variable applied. He’s just generalizing.

If David has two belts next, isn’t it obvious Sampson Boxing is in the win for defenses and unification with Smith?

For Sampson Boxing to say Benavidez vs Plant needs to build up is the PBC playbook to make filler fights in between. It’s about the filler fights for the networks, not the actual unification.

Sampson isn't even a Haymon puppet promoter. He has David locked into that contract.

“Locked in a contract” doesn’t include an opposition list. It’s for how many fights. You think David’s contract has “Plant” in there? And if it did, what is the expectancy (date) for that in the contract?

Its a bad contract that David tried to get out of and almost got sued. Al Haymon cannot do anything with David without Sampson's approval. Was Dibella able to say the same thing about Wilder? No, which is why Sampson in regards to David Benavidez is not Haymon's puppet.

You’re not making any sense. Wilder’s situation is a completely different matter for the fact that an opposing network made a multimill offer which isnt even what we’re talking about.

David trying to “get out” has shet what to do with him calling Plant’s bluff?
