of course, he goes and fights jones and hopkins fights pavlik. Just goes to show the difference of their careers - one guy constantly takes on challenges, the other constantly takes the path of least resistance.

if hopkins hadn't been so damn defensive in that fight he'd have won a pretty clear UD. I think one of the main reasons there was no rematch was simply because the first fight was a snoozefest and the hype couldn't be generated. Hopkins spent the whole fight on the back foot landing a few nice shots but not making any attempt to exploit em while joe just kept coming forward landing nothing of worth but doing just enough to impress the judges. Yawn.
Hopkins lost the fight more than calzaghe won it IMO.
anyway Hopkins ducking? What top fighter in their prime did calzaghe ever fight?
ancient eubank
ancient hopkins
ancient jones
I mean jeff lacey??
okay he fought kessler
ducked otke ducked froch the list goes on ...Last edited by Daddy T; 03-24-2011, 10:27 AM.

He was just saying whatever he had to NOT fight Hopkins again.
