Ok...so no one has any hope that the Mexican Tornado would walk down DelaHoya?

Oscar at 147(prime) gives Margarito a worse boxing lesson than he gave Trinidad. Oscar destroys Margarito at 154.

Oscar outboxes him easily. Tony wouldn't really have a size advantage like he did against most welters which would make it all the easier for Oscar to dominate him.

I think the only thing to debate here is if Oscar would have stopped Tony or just won an easy UD.

I asked Robert alcazar who was the long time trainer of Oscar, he said Margarito sparred Oscar multiple times when DLH was the welterweight king, he said Tony was tough but was too slow and one dimensional for them to use in sparring, besides Oscar boxed Tony's ears off. So they had to let him go, he believes that's where Margarito's anger towards Oscar was born, cuz tony was getting well paid for his services as a sparring partner.

Oscar takes it with relative ease.

De La Hoya quits via body shot.

At either weight it ends with Margarito getting stopped. You can't expect to beat Oscar without a defense, that goes for any fighter.
