What Top Rank Fails To Realize When They Make Non-Mexican Fighters Represent Mexico

Originally posted by MusaWorld View PostWhat Top Rank fails to realize is that Mexicans simply do not sell and their fan base is disgustingly overrated, so making Tyson Fury wear Mexican colors and wave around the Mexican flag is futile. Let's take a look at all the Mexican champions who headlined a main event this year and see how big of a crowd they brought in. Note: This does not factor in the tickets they gave away.
Navarrete vs. De Vaca, August 17, 2019
Venue: Banc of California Stadium
Crowd: 3,944
Vargas vs. Kameda, July 13, 2019
Venue: Dignity Health Sports Park
Crowd: 2,730
Cancio vs. Machado ll, June 26th, 2019
Venue: Fantasy Springs Resort Casino
Crowd: 2,500
Valdez vs. Sanchez, June 6, 2019
Venue: Reno-Sparks Convention Center
Crowd: 2,412
Berchelt vs. Vargas ll, May 11, 2019
Venue: Tuscon Convention Center
Crowd: 4,424
Estrada vs. Rungvisai ll/Daniel Roman vs. TJ Doheny, April 26, 2019
Venue: The Forum
Crowd: 5,127
Santa Cruz vs. Rivera, February 16, 2019
Venue: Microsoft Theater
Crowd: 5,000
Munguia vs. Inoue, January 26, 2019
Venue: Toyota Center
Crowd: 7,408
So as you can see, Mexican champions can't even get other Mexicans to come out and watch them, what makes you think Mexicans are going to come out and buy tickets to watch a Gypsy in a sombrero? Epic fail by Top Rank
Thank You Al Haymon!

Facts: This poll shows Hispanics being the biggest demographic of boxing fans. Much more accurate than your cherry picked sample size of 8 low level fights.

He never fought on mexican independence day ever
And he wore a sombrero to mock mexicans. Simple
Here’s he facts: Floy fought on Cinco de Mayo weekend vs Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Robert Guerrero, Marcos Maidana and Manny Pacquiao.
He fought on Mexican Independence Day weekend vs Canelo, Maidana, Marquez, Berto and Ortiz. Floy was always fighting on our weekends and on our nut sacks. Our holidays are weekends and not just days puto

The African-American demographic of boxing fans might be similar in size as the Mexican-American demo, but blacks are usually older and have a lower median income so it's not as important to pander to them. You're too blinded by your racism and retardation to acknowledge irrefutable facts.
