Mosley absolutely was not prime. No way. He was far from shot and it's a good win for Cotto, but Shane was not prime.

Snap you are right. I thought he fought him right after Oscar. It was towards the end of his career.

The end of Mosleys career was in 2016.

When Cotto fought Mosley in 2007, he fought a very good version of Mosley who knocked Fernando Vargas out twice and beat up a young Luis Collazo before fighting Cotto.

After the Cotto loss, Mosley still had success, knocking out Mayorga, knocking out Margacheato, then lost to Mayweather, Pacquiao and Canelo. After that Mayweather fight he definitely declined and got worse and became shot the more the losses piled up.

A razor thin win over mosley is good but is it really the earth shattering win that people make it out to be? hes basically made a career over it when as far as im aware mosley has a few losses. ive never known a fighters 'prime' end so soon.he got his arse kicked by margarito at 147, struggled hugely against josh clottey, and was the last guy that pacquiao stopped. even malignaggi gave him problems. trout gave him a boxing lesson. mayweather played with him. one of canelos easiest big fights. i know some of them are at different weights but people act like he was shot when he was in his early 30s lol, he wasnt shot he was just never that good. ANd if he suddenly 'wasnt the same' after losing to margarito, that shows hes mentally weak. ive never known such an overrated fighter in all my life.

That loss to Margacheato is obviously questionable because of the plaster hand wraps incident, duh.

If I remember correctly Cotto had a cut the size of his eyebrow on his eye which impaired him in that fight against Clottey. If he weren't cut he would have definitely had an easier time and won easier as well, duh.

Malignaggi gave him problems? Lol, okay. Malignaggi's face was swollen to the size of a watermelon but he gave him problems, lol. Cotto couldn't sustain a constant attack in that fight due to his struggle to make 140, which coincidentally the Malignaggi fight was his last fight at 140. Look at the weigh in pictures for that fight Cotto looked like a starving concentration camp prisoner.

Cotto gave Mayweather one of his best fights, what are you talking about? To this day, many fans say a fight of Mayweathers they like to watch, which is very few of his fights, but they say they like to watch the Mayweather-Cotto fight because it was a good fight. Cotto made Mayweather fight and it is one of Mayweather's fights that was actually fun to watch. So you have no clue with this either.

By the time Cotto and Canelo had fought, Cotto was 35 and Canelo was 25. And Canelo was much bigger. Duh. We all knew what kind of fight that was. Even with those odds against him, Cotto conducted himself well and didn't get embarrassed.

            But keep spewing nonsense though.

I think he loses to Thurman, Spence, Crawford and maybe Porter too. Cotto's win over Mosley was good, even if Mosley was a little past his best. However he lost to most of the elite opponents that he faced and deserves 0 credit for beating Martinez and Margarito because both those guys were crippled when Cotto fought them.

Crawford?? the same fighter that was hurt by smaller Gamboa?? not a chance he will not beat a prime Cotto

Thurman? the same dude that got almost drop by a body shot from Luis Collazo?? dont make my laugh.

Spence?? with that bad defense he wont last long.

DSG?? hmm to slow, good chin doe.

Porter? hmm he will get punish till the 12 round.

Sounds like a whole lot of excuses

Cotto being a beast at 147 is a myth Thurman is already more accomplished in the division than Cotto ever was
