Even if you felt Gennady was a better MIDDLEWEIGHT...this is a POUND FOR POUND ranking. Fighters who compete at ONLY ONE weight class do not perform as well on POUND FOR POUND LISTS as do those who move up/down weight classes.

That is why ANY/EVERY serious POUND FOR POUND LIST has Lomachenko and Crawford as #1 and #2 (either/or). They have both DOMINATED ALL OPPOSITION at EVERY WEIGHT CLASS THEY'VE COMPETED.

Gennady squeaked past Danny Jacobs who looked HORRIBLE in his last fight and earned a DRAW against a JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT. He is a fringe Top 10 PFP fighter. Sorry, fanboy, just how these things work

GGG and canelo would be favorite over anyone 154-168.

VERY good rankings. Saul and Gennady are a little high for my liking, but very comprehensive list.

People who put Gennady in Top 5 are always suspect as Gennady is hardly "the guy" in his ONLY division compared to other fighters who have succeeded across MULTIPLE divisions.

Kovalev is still a Top 10 fighter for me. He looked great in his last fight and I think he's serious about fighting his up and coming countrymen like Beterbiev, etc.

Rigondeaux not even Top 20?!? That's insane.

I think Kovalev suffering back to back losses and beating a journeyman doesn't put him back in the top 10 but if he does beat Beterbiev he will be back in my top 10 maybe at 6 or 7

I was disgusted after he quit when he only took 55 punches, that's nothing and most of them were pit pat shots

I'm not high on Wangek either but beating Gonzalez twice is just too good to keep him off the list, I didn't care about his first victory but he destroyed Gonzalez in the rematch

I agree with your list Crawford is a big 140 pound guy feeding on smaller guys if he goes and beats Spence or Thurman than I would rank him at number 1
