  • Comments Thread For: Munguia-Hogan Scoring: Judges Agreed On Just Six of 12 Rounds

As Saturday became Sunday, boxing fans were still debating whether or not a robbery took place in Monterrey, Mexico. Not helping the debate any was the fact that the judges collectively weren't quite sure what they witnessed in Jaime Munguia's majority decision win over Dennis Hogan. Ohio's Richard Levine scored the contest even at 114-114, but was overruled by scores of 115-113 and 116-112 turned in by Florida's Rocky Young and New York's Waleska Roldan.

Of course the fight was rigged. The big promoters rig fights on every card nothing new. 20$ per month to watch rigged fights. Jeff Horn would have KO'd Mungia. Mungia vs 43 year old Mundine would be 50/50.

Surely Waleska Roldan's mortgage has got to be paid off by now.

Boxing isn't a sport, it's a circus act. Hogan was robbed by Oscar.

I guess Haymon fights at $80 (Wilder/Fury) with the fix in is more your fancy?

              Lol. Owned.

But more more importantly, people acting like Hogan was BJS vs Lemieux, which just proves BJS is overrated

they will get more work. they have shown that they play ball and can be trusted. golden boy and other promoters will make sure to get them for their fights and they will get paid again. the cycle continues

I don’t think any of the recent US robberies come close to the what we’ve seen in U.K. recently. Sauerland have had judges giving impossible scores for injured fighters and some of the Matchroom ones have been incompetent at best.

I need to see a replay, but clearly boxing has had terrible decisions and “house” fighters favored. Canelo is an excellent fighter, perhaps with a bit of greatness, but of course as boxing's big star, the judges have him a couple of rounds up already before the Jacobs fight starts.
