  • If Floyd never grown up but "moved up" divisions, explain why...

    1) He couldn't make the weight (144) for the marquez fight?
    2) He couldn't fight again at 140 after moving to 147?

Facts show that Floyd moved up because he wasn't able to fight in smaller weights anymore. His body grown.

The only moment when he moved up was the times he fought at 154, and he never fought at 154 against elite opposition. He was a paper champ at 154.

It's like GGG going to 168 to fight Chavez Jr or Froch. Mayweather didn't fight the best names at 154, avoided Lara for example. So when you Floyd fans say that GGG isn't willing to move up for greatness, I let you know that your idol didn't move up for greatness either. He never took the risk.

Now that I have educated some of you, I go to party.

Floyd started at 130 you dip****. He DID move up for bigger fights and for greatness. The reason he moved up was to fight guys like Oscar and Hatton and to have big fights.

And why can't he fight at 130 anymore? because it's his body that grown up. When you're 20 years old you are very light. When you are 30 you are not that light anymore, it's natural.

Canelo started at 140, because he was very young. Now he's a MW. He didn't "move up for greatness" he just grown up... your body increases weight when you are between 20 and 30. That's why Floyd moved up.

You didn't answer both questions! can you?

Floyd moved up to 150 to fight Oscar who weighed 154. At that point his body hadn't outgrown 147, he just moved up to get the fight. He did what he had to do to get a big fight, and that's how he became a star. Stop trying to protect Golovkin. If he wants to make a big fight he should just move up if the Canelo fight can't happen.

As I said in the OP, Floyd never moved up for great opposition to 154. He moved up to 154 to fight a shot over the hill ODLH who would retire a year later, and still it was a SD that many saw the other way around.

That's the equivalent of GGG moving up to 168 for Froch or some other old ex elite fighter.

So you are saying that Floyd only fought 4 times at 135 but was forced to move up because he was too big despite being only 138 on fight night? Then that same guy only fought 3 times at 140 but was again forced to move up because he was so gigantic despite being only 143 on fight night and weighing only 146 on fight night at WW against Zab? He was so huge even though at the exact same time Pac was fighting at 130 and coming into the ring at 145 but he was a lil man, correct?

Floyd was outweighed at 135 you moron. Anything to excuse Coward G from moving up.

Well, he moved up to 135 and fought the best guy in the division in his first fight at the weight. Castillo also outweighed him by quite a bit for that fight.

He moved up to fight Canelo (at 152). Canelo was coming off a victory against Trout. That victory put Canelo at the top of the division.

Also, it's clear Floyd only fought at LMW for big money fights. He never consistently campaigned there so I wouldn't say he avoided Lara.
