  • Oscar's logic is perfectly correct

while its true that he may have made some bad predictions, such as the hatton one (he was promoting him afteral) his logic in predicting a cotto win is perfectly legitimate.

cotto is a natural welterweight who is considered a hard puncher a the WELTERWEIGHT level.

the only natural welter that the philippino leprechaun has ever faced is a weight drained, past his sell by date oscar. and even then, despite the fact that oscar was standing there eating his punches for 8 rounds, he did not even come close to knocking him down..so what makes people think hes going to knock out cotto out?

cotto is gonna beat the **** outta him and knock him out in the seventh with a hook o the body mark ma motha****in words.

His logic is flawed in that Pac wasn't going for an early KO, he was emphasizing his speed and wearing him down through accumulation, even still his left strait "jab" was giving DLH some serious whiplash. I think the plan was to box DLH for 8-9 before putting him to sleep, a lightweight doesn't 1 punch KO a granite chinned light middleweight early.

It doesn't work when you or anybody else says that Pacquiao couldn't/didn't knock out De La Hoya. The fight was stopped because Oscar was getting his ass kicked. If he didn't quit, it would have been stopped by the ref minutes later, or Oscar could have been knocked out.

There were still enough rounds for Pacquiao to go for the kill, but it never came down to that because the fight was stopped.

I swear, all it takes is one person to say something, and hundreds here echo it like it's the truth.

              Oscars opinion is niothing new.

We all know Cotto is the biggest puncher Pac has faced......thats it.
That is all Oscar is saying.

And we all know if Cotto catches Pac with a good shot Pac will be in trouble. Its why the fight is so exciting.

Really? That's funny because Roach and Manny have both stated that was their plan, hence why Roach predicted a KO in the 9th, not the first! Unfortunately we never got to see him KO because as soon as he turned up the juice in the 8th DLH said "no mas"

Since when does a boxer quit when they're not hurt?!?

Your right, that part of what he said is absolutely right, however, I think he and some others are writing off Pac's power @ WW. It's not like it takes 10x the power to hurt a WW over a jrWW

exactly, so cotto has no excuse for letting pac go past 6 rounds... he would be an embarassment to his family and puerto rico if he can't KO a former 106 lber. he has no excuse losing to pac.
