I'm opposed to military action in Syria, but her solution is to force Iran to stop the fighting? Through diplomacy? You might have some success with Saudi Arabia, you might, but Al Qaeda are not a puppet of the Saudi government in the same way that Assad is a puppet of the Iranians. And if you do succeed, what then? Assad is still indiscriminately murdering people who are ideologically opposed to him.

Also she said she can trace her family "to the beginning of humanity" which is demonstrably wrong.

I think the guy is on the right lines although he is a bit off. I agree that leaders in the Western world that should be tried for war crimes against humanity. They should be punished under the breaking of rules of International Law. Let's hope one day justice will be served for the thousands of people who have lost their lives and died in a struggle due to incompetent leaders that made absurd decisions.

As for the Syrian lady, I'd trust her more than any Politician. More bombs will claim more innocent victims. Both Assad and the opposing opposition are as bad as one another. None of them are good guys. Christians are currently being slaughtered in Syria.

I may be a jackass in saying this, but even if they did use chemical weapons, I don't care and still don't want to go over there. We are in no shape to, and lol at us acting like the moral police on this matter. Perhaps you misinterpreted my post. As stated - there is no evidence Assad used the chemical weapons, only words. Yes we know chemical weapons were used but no evidence which party used them. I'm still waiting for the Obama administration to provide the evidence they claim to have that Assad was responsible for the use of chemical weapons. We haven't seen any concrete evidence who are responsible. I remember hearing something very similar when Iraq was invaded.

What we do know however is; Britain exported chemical gas to Syria which aided in the deaths of over 1000 people. The ammunition was provided months after civil unrest begin in Syria which is frankly reckless and poor judgement. So that leads us to - Why has this been allowed to happen? and more importantly, why aren't the people responsible for selling the chemicals or allowed them to exported being sought for?

No they didn't. British companies exported sodium fluoride to Syrian cosmetics companies. Sodium fluoride is a major component in toothpaste. Syria received no "poison gas" from British sources and at no point did Britain as an entity supply Syria as an entity.

Again. There is no hard evidence the Assad regime used the chemical weapons. There is a possibility the rebels may have used them, but no one knows the full truth here. We are relying on words here - not evidence.

What we do know is the Syrian government sent a letter shortly after to the US to investigate the chemical weapons attack which has been ignored by Obama and his administration, and any major news networks.

You're right they did export them for cosmetic purposes. However, when a full blown civil war is breaking out, to carry on sending dangerous chemicals which can lead to the creation of deadly weapons is gross misconduct and careless in my view. Anyone with a bit of common sense would know to quit sending them in a dangerous, violent civil war.

I am also opposed to intervention myself after the numerous ****-ups in the past. We have no business in Syria and aren't familiar with the place. Leave them to it.

McCain and Kerry are suffering from Presidential envy, a Syria strike is a way to to fulfill their commander-and-chief fantasy. These two cuckolds of politics are pushing hard to get President Obama to ravage Syria without the ********, actually finishing the job, winning the peace, and removing Assad from power. However the US has a hard time stopping once we start pumping the missile until all the payload is gone. We Americans will look in horror if this escalates to another Iraq, "oh no the ********," while the world laughs watching with disgust.

Hopefully, the Syrians and Russians are serious about their chemical weapon proposal and we can avoid another unnecessary military action.
