Really sad Boxing biggest star can't beat a 35 year old

Exactly the truth! It just goes to show how overrated Canelo Alvarez is and how underrated Gennady Golovkin is.

Canelo has nothing to hang his head about. He was in with an exceptional fighter (no matter his age) and performed well. Gotta stop undermining guys at or near the top for competitive losses or near losses. Like they've committed some great sin by not winning every single fight ever and by a wide margin.

Canelo isn't boxings biggest star anyway. Nobody cares about Canelo apart from some Mexican's and hardcore boxing fans in USA and some scattered around other countries.
Pacquiao is not retired an far more well known worldwide than Canelo, even if he's shot.

Canelo is damn good. There is nothing sad about him. I agree he lost to GGG but everybody loses to GGG so far. GGG isn't soon to be 36. He just turned 35 so don't go making him older than he actually is. With better diet and training methods 35 isn't as old for a boxer as it used to be. A boxer with good genetics who trains hard and takes care of himself health wise isn't that far past prime at 35. No young lion beat Mayweather at 35 or even 38. No young lion beat Hopkins until he was 40. No young lion beat Ward at age 33. Trinidad was a superstar at age 30 but he still lost to 37 year old Hopkins. If the older fighter is a damn good one like GGG they aren't that easy for the young lion to defeat. GGG may go on turning back the challenges of young lions for years. Canelo almost beat him. He came closer than anyone else ever has. Canelo improves with ever fight and he is still young. Maybe Canelo will beat GGG in the rematch. At any rate Canelo is rated by most as one of the 3 best PFP boxers in the world and that's not sad.

Even sadder is the redhead in his prime who spent his career being a weight bully asking for 154-155 catch weights, but coming in at 175-180 fight night. That ginger is the biggest star in boxing and kept backing away from an old washed up slow GGG and afraid to let his hands go.
Indeed Larry you must be so sad now.
