Well, the ad may have been a success and people are talking about it and watching it.

It's possible that was the goal.

As an ad it's atrocious, I didn't see a single razor and thought the message was pathetic.

One comment I read was that Gillette was marketing to depressed boys and trying to sell razors to them for them to slit their wrists with. Brutal but amusing.

They should have followed that ad up with this bit of brilliance to get a bit of balance in.
