Why is Arum still protecting Valdez?

Actually JRock even got a lot more hype than Hurd coming up. You said Haymon wanted to protect two undefeated fighters so he had Charlo move up L-O-L.
Yeah, so that was a stupid comment. If you want to say Valdez is just moving up because he can't make weight anymore, that is one thing. But you got baited in by MCC, and tried to come back with something against PBC....And it made no sense at all.
So yeah, let's move on.....

^^^I was just informed he didn't move up when Loma moved up. He was in the same weight class but fought for the vacant title instead of fighting Loma for the title. That's even worse
Now Stevenson wants the title shot against Valdez & he's talking about moving up to 130. Valdez level is Scott Quigg. Feed him to Stevenson and let the young boy shine.
They have been a promotional disaster for Top Rank. They haven't generated the type of buzz that they they were expected to generate.
Yet Arum is so stubborn that he's still holding on hope that they become something.
He won't sacrifice Valdez to Stevenson, despite it being a big boost for Stevenson's career. He'll have Valdez move up to 130 and then have Stevenson fight for his vacant belt.

I would like to see Stevenson vs Valdez but Stevenson doesn’t need him to become a star. They got enough guys.

Again, I never said Valdez is being moved away from Stevenson and is moving up to avoid him...No, he very well may not be able to make the weight anymore, and that's fine. But.........

Just like Arum doesn’t have Stevenson set before Valdez moves up? Lolol. It’s the same thing and you know it.
You point blank said Haymon moved Charlo up so he could protect both undefeated fighters. That's hilarious and wrong. First off, Hurd was barely the slight favorite going into the Harrison fight so it was far from a guarantee he was going to win. Second off, Hurd had barely gotten on to the scene the year before when he beat Galarza on SHO Box. This wasn't a fighter with any hype coming up. He was an average amateur who was mainly fighting on club shows until he got his chance.
There was nothing about protecting anyone. Charlo was moving up after the JRock fight regardless. He admitted the only reason he didn't do it earlier was to shut JRock up.
You first tired to make a BS comparison, then when I point out Charlo having trouble making weight was the reason he moved up… You say well, Valdez is having trouble making weight as well. And that's fine, yet you then go back to your original statement. You are all over the place.
It's either Arum is strategically having Valdez move up to position himself for a title shot at 130 and give Stevenson his shot at 126, or it is simply because he is having trouble making weight. Stick with one line of thinking, don't play both sides.
