  • Comments Thread For: Philippine Boxing: The Best of 2012

Writing for the biggest boxing website while based in Manila has its pros and cons. The downside is not being able to cover most international matches, fights that are held overseas since my focus task is to cover the local boxing scene. With that being said, the most rewarding part of having this job is getting to see the deep talent the Philippines has to offer amd then sharing it to the world. After Juan Manuel Marquez scored the brutal knockout of Manny Pacquiao, writing this piece couldn't have come at a better time as this can serve as a reminder to the fans that Philippine boxing has more than just Pacman. Here I provide you with the country's best of 2012.

Did they end up giving Freddie the joke coach Roach trainer of the year anyway?

The best Philippines boxing moment of the year is easily Pacquiao lying motionless on the canvas, just look at the reaction videos...it is great to cheer Pac beating the stuffing out of JMM, but when Pac gets ktfo and becomes an international joke it is offensive for us to laugh at his overhyped ass remember?

Filipinos have great fighters..some of them warriors...however I belve this wasn't a good year for them..in the same card farenas loss to Gamboa( farenas is a fearless warrior) then Mercito lose his 0 in a non-even-close against Vasquez and Pac got KTFO by marquez from the lower division...but they have big talent and they will streak back...
