    This is an incredible story, for those interested in this part of history.

    One of the men in famous Iwo Jima flag raising picture was misidentified for over 70 years. After a recent investigation, the Marine Corps changed the official record. The Smithsonian Channel did a recent special on this:

      I read the book and saw the movie. Both were excellent.

      Being the son of a combat vet, I understood where Bradley's son was coming from in alot of ways.

      Eastwood did a movie right after this one from the Japanese point of view. It was called Letters From Iwo Jima. You see it?

        One of the best flicks, clint eastwood and mel gibson to me are the greatest directors who never really get props for some odd reason

            The Japanese actor stole the show. Pop star with real talent. I like his face, a gifted actor like Motoki.
