Its easy to see why, if he lost to Floyd at the time then his career would have been derailed and he would never have had the success he attained on the pretense of wanting Floyd, the risk in 2010 was far too great for Arum to chance having his golden goose killed before it layed all his golden eggs.

Arum through Manny milked the public hate of Floyd for all it was worth and cashed in big all the way to the very end.

That's a possibility. Maybe didn't want to be drug tested. Maybe Arum didn't want to open his books. Who knows? But he walked away, that we do know.

This is a false narrative. The drug test proposal, in particulr, the idea of them being totally random and "Olympic style" a phrase thrown around a lot back then was the opening gambit in the negotiations. There has never been a negotiation where the other party instantly accepts, especially if that other party is just as financially viable.

The response from Pacquiao and/or his team was that they would do drug testing but with a 14 day/2 week cut off for the last possible date of taking blood. That in turn was turned down by Mayweather and as we have seen, he was not keen on taking the fight. It really is that simple.

That's a lie. During the first negotiation, Pacquiao refused to accept Mayweather's proposed 14 day cut-off. He wanted a 24 day cut-off. Why the **** would he need more than a 14 day cut-off??? Can you give a logical reason for that?

              Get your ****ing facts straight!

              • Everyone knows Floyd didn't want Pac, too prime too fast too dangerous. Floyd fights who he wants and when he wants, proven by fighting Berto as his fake retirement then fighting a guy 0-0.

                  Ok, let's talk facts then.

Mayweather refused to budge on his demands of blood testing, although Pac and his team agreed to full testing right up until the weigh in (which is what Mayweather wanted) with regards to urine. However, as we know post Morales, Pac had issues with blood testing that close to a fight but he agreed to blood samples being taken until the presser and immediately after the fight.

How can someone appease another more than that on ridiculous demands? Especially when that person goes on a racist rant and then has to pay out of court settlements lol

I thought you wanted to talk facts.

The negotiations fell apart earlier this year when Mayweather refused to give Pacquiao a 24-day cutoff on the testing. Mayweather wanted a 14-day cutoff. The next time they negotiate, the deal could be harder to make.

Mayweather, according to past interviews, will no longer consider a testing cutoff. He wants the testing to continue until the fight.

Nice attempt to sugar coat that you had it wrong by saying Pac wanted it until the presser instead of flat out saying what it was. Pac wanted a 24 day cut off, and refused a 2 week cut off. 2 weeks before the fight to recover from having blood drawn. Think about that.

The question was, what logical reason can there be for Pacquiao wanting a 24 day cut off as opposed to a 14 day cut off. Can you justify that?

Seems it was ok in 2015. I wonder what changed.

You're always so off. Like every time you think you're throwing around facts. It's alarming and I encourage you to do your homework first.

The first counter was for three blood tests only. One at the first press conference. One unannounced in between and then one immediately after the fight.

                      The second was 30 days.

The third was for 24 days and was offered during a final effort mediation. It was MAYWEATHER who offered 14 days and Team Pacquiao refused.

It was so absurd, Brian Kenny asked Pacquiao multiple times why he wouldn't do it (not even a 14 day cutoff)

Pacquiao then walked away from negotiation. That was what happened in 2009-2010. Mayweather also said that if he defeated Mosley and sold bigger PPV's, all bets were off the table and he would not compromise drug testing with cut-off dates. Of course, after that, Pacquiao began talking 14 days (to the media) but by then the rounds of negotiations were long over.
