  • Morales Busted On PEDs For Garcia Rematch In NYC! AJ Should Rematch Ruiz In UK?

Remember when legendary fighter Erik Morales tested positive for clenbuterol against Danny Garcia but the fight still went ahead, just a few years ago in Brooklyn, New York! That's right New York, where AJ faced Ruiz!

Is AJ right to hold the rematch with Ruiz in the UK, in case a similar thing happens where Ruiz fails a test but the fight is still allowed to go on in NYC, USA?

    Rivas wasn't given that luxury

A mexican testing positive for clenbuterol automatically means it was due to tainted meat

El Terrible did nothing wrong. Nothing to see here, moving on.

Instead of us coming together as one (Boxing fans) and kick out this disease in our sport, we are doing tit for tat. This doesn’t help us or the sport, what is wrong is wrong, no need to try and deflect, whether it’s in unkraine, Germany, America, Mexico or the UK we need to be one and try and stay one in mocking this s hit out.

Garcia, his opponent, was informed of the failed test and it was up to Danny to decide if he wanted to fight Morales anyway, not the other way around.

            Epic fail of a thread.

Well, at least Garcia and his team were informed and had the opportunity to scrap the fight or not.

Erik Morales had trouble making weight. Team Garcia knew it too. It was either take the pay, or no pay. At this point Morales was going the distance with disgusting love handles against Maidana and Cano..... in Team Garcia's eyes the Morales bout wasn't really risky. So Team Garcia acknowledged Morales using Clen to make weight, which back then wasn't even a Low Trace level, but HIGH LEVELS. Garcia took the bonus, but USADA wasn't having it and banned him for 2 years...was going to retire anyways.

I agree, my only point is at least Garcia and his team were notified and had the opportunity to decide whether to fight or scrap.
