It definitely has something for everyone if you really look hard enough. Dunno if I'd go as far as to call it laid back, that's more San Diego. The desert definitely influences the mentality.

I thought San Francisco was like the NYC of California. It's like in the top 3 most expensive cities to live in in the U.S., NYC being #1. Then SF also has like a bunch of every ethnicity, American, Asian, Hispanic.

So I would think SF is actually the city in Cali that has something for everyone.
