Ofcourse you're right; there should've been a tournament structure all along. In what other sport can you choose your opponent and negotiate salary, venue, judges, exert leverage that puts him at a disadvantage where he can be left without a fight if he doesn't comply.

Fists of Fluff Furry retired soft lad, lineage is open. AJ is no.1 Wilder no.2, the winner establishes new lineage should Parker not rise to no.2 before Wilder and AJ fight.

Stop calling them Champions first. Call them contenders. As long as you "people" recognize WBA WBO IBF and WBC as Championships, there's no reason for the problem to be fixed. Promoters, sanctioning bodies and casinos will sell you as many "Champions" as you're willing to buy. Hell the WBC isn't even ashamed anymore. They'll sanction anything thats going to make them 6 figures or more in fees and even make new belts for it until they can just start calling everyone that can line their pockets "Champion."

See the problem with that is that other sanctioning orgs couldn't care less about you fighting for other titles as long as you are paying them their sanctioning fees. Why spread that money around when they can have it all to themselves?

Boxing needs more unified champions to thrive.

Agree. Problem is promoters and boxing organizations couldn’t manipulate the revenue stream in their favor. Boxing more than any other sport has been all about business for some time now.

Why so complicated? Just cancel all these organisations, boxing should have ONE champ in each division.

But the promoters don't want one champion because then the promoter who controls the one champion has too much power.

If the promoters wanted one champion, there would already be one champion.

We have four champions because every time Bob Arum isn't able to monopolize the championships, he hops in bed with a new organizations so he can monopolize their championships instead. Bob Arum is more responsible for there being 4 champions than any other human on earth.

It's all about money by marketing multiple champions to the casual observers who don't really know who the champion is really supposed to be
