  • Pacquiao would KO the poorly-conditioned version of Marquez that faced Mayweather?

Marquez stepped up two weight divisions to face Mayweather, without easing himself into the weight. At the time it was thought that because Mayweather had been out of action for a while it might be an equalizer but the truth is Mayweather showed up in close to top form while Marquez showed up in poor physical condition to face the p4p #1 fighter.

The fight was also supposed to be at a catchweight but Mayweather didn't make weight.

If that poorly conditioned, sluggish version of Marquez showed up to fight Manny Pacquiao in any of their fights would he have been knocked out by Pacquiao?

convincing Floyd fans that his win over JMM was nothing short of a GREAT victory is like shoving a bowling ball through a straw!

I think the big storyline going into the Marquez vs Manny fights is that the two men know each other so well. In the thrid fight Manny decided to box more, thinking that would be the key to finally be the key to conquering Marquez. It turns out, that was a crappy plan and the fight was razor close.

The fourth is the fight in which Manny finally found Marquez out, pressure effective pressure was the key, but he slipped up in the end. He should have never charged in like that during the final second of the round. Instead he should have let Marquez return to the corner, let his corner panic a bit, and let Marquez come back out looking for blood. He was winning the fight that way and would have eventually gotten the TKO or won a very wide decision

I feel the only reason Marquez lost so badly in the Mayweather fight was due to not having not one single advantage in the fight. Speed, Power, Defense, Ring IQ, Size. One of the worst cases of match making in my opinion and add in the fact that Marquez didn't know what Floyd would bring to the table unlike Manny.

Too bad Marquez himself says nobody would beat Floyd, that Floyd is the best, and that he has no desire to ever face him again, despite his new "conditioning"...but what would he know? He has only been in the ring with both of them? Surely the posters on here, including the TS are more educated on the topic right? Pacquiao would struggle vs any Marquez because he struggles vs any intelligent counter fighter, but Arum did a masterful job of keeping all those type fighters away from him. Close this piece of **** thread.

I was just about to post the same thing. JMM is one of the smartest guys in boxing and always keeps it real. JMM himself basically says that a rematch with Floyd would be no different than the 1st fight. Anyone trying to act like it would be is crazy

Pacquiao would KO that version Marquez inside 3 rounds five at most unless Marquez resorted to his dirty tactics of toe stepping
