2.) After run, hit the gym with some weight work
    3.) Evening boxing gym
    start - stretching
    - 5 rounds shadowboxing
    - 5 rounds on speed bag
    - one day spare/ one day mitts
    - 5 rounds on heavy bag
    - 3 rounds on double-end bag

Thats a typical day for me. Give me some advice or other things and ways to do the routine. THANKS!

Wow Ruff that's some training regime you got there.

I only do my training for keeping fit. My regime consists of Ab work, weights & the punchbag. I don't do running (had a bad leg break a couple of years ago and running gives a lot of pain) though I intend to start doing a lot of hillwalking as there are loads here in Scotland to tackle.

Having a fulltime job which entails a 22 mile drive to get there means I have to leave early (7am) and get back late (7pm). I prepare all my meals from scratch so that takes a lot of time too. I generally don't get to train till about 9pm, and then I just do the aforementioned excercises for 45mins then shower, then chill, then bed.

Thankfully I do all this for fun and keeping fit, I don't know how I'd find the time if I was to take boxing up as a sport.

I would increase your running, 3-4 miles isn`t enough, you should be running at least 5-6 on a daily basis.

Vboxer do you do that routine everyday?

Mine is like this: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are boxing gym days.

Tuesday and Thursday are pool and pullups + pushups.

              Sunday is just abs.

At the gym I usually do a warmup of jump-rope, pushups, situps, burpies, 6 inches, jumping jacks, leg squats, etc. Then we usually do about 12 rounds of bag work, alternating bags every 3 rounds or so (so I get different heavy bags, speed bags). Sometimes I do mitt work with a trainer. Some days we also do intense workouts with squats, ab work, etc.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I do 150 pullups and about 320 pushups (in sets). I also do 50 minutes of ab work and 40 one-arm pushups (in sets). I swim 1 kilometer at the pool and sit in the sauna for about 15 minutes.

Sunday: 50 minutes of ab work. More like a day of rest.

I will start running at night soon everyday, starting with something like 1 mile and building up to 4.

              Good workouts vboxer and ruff!

i'll fill in for those who haven't posted yet,,,,

I awake at 3am on mon-wed-fri and run a full marathon in 2:30:30, 26.5 miles. I do this in workboots because I am old school.

On tues and thurs i do intervals/sprints. For my sprints i do 1 mile sprints in 4:25 no longer with 30 sec rest breaks. Instead of hill sprints i climb a 10,000ft sheer cliff with no powder, gloves, hooks, shoes, carabiners ect....

                  Then I go to work.

                  At lunch break I lift. I do 305lb squats 20x10, 225lb bench 20x5, and 10x10 snatches at 175lbs.

                  Then comes my actual boxing.

                  45 minute streadmill
                  stretching
15 rounds rope while squating no rests between rounds.
12 rounds sparring because i like to add the championship rounds
                  8 rounds of pads
15 rounds no breaks on the heave
                  5 rounds double end bag
                  5 rounds speed bag

                  then calisthenics...

                  1600 pushups
                  250 pullups
                  10,000 situps
                  500 burpees
                  6000 squats

                  then i sleep 12 hours.

                  i have a record 125-0-1 and a streetfight record of 400 - 0

some people are immune to overtraining......

                    my example diet is:

                    Breakfast

2 cups broken glass with a bit of honey
                    3 yards of barbed wire
                    and a cup of gasoline

                    Lunch:

I usually get take out and order live goldfish and i eat them instead of taking fish oil caps.

Then i generally just chew on some nails.

                    Pre Training Snack:

I usually just chew on a 220volt power cord thats plugged in while i stand in a tub of water

                    Dinner:

Usually some more galss, no honey and chew on some more nails.

In my spare time i like to handle angry rattlesnakes and wrestle alligators.
