Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that a welterweight fight between "Sugar" Shane Mosley and Victor Ortiz is being discussed for August or September.
"I think both guys have a lot to prove," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com. "I think it's an evenly matched fight -- half will pick Mosley, half Ortiz. Mosley really proved himself in Mexico against Pablo Cesar Cano, so I think it would be an intriguing fight."
Mosley (47-8-1, 39 KOs) came out of retirement in May, scoring his first win since 2009, a unanimous decision victory over Cano.
