that perfect left hook of donaire's, with perfect form, takes alot of skill to land as a counter, not an arm punch, full body, perfect form left hook

yet to see rigondeaux execute such a feat, although rigo's footwork is a thing of beauty

Have you seen Rigo's body shots? Chances are you haven't unless they were in slow mo. That's how quick and hard he'll hit you to the body. You don't see the punch, all you see is a guy laying there. Quick, short and strong punch.

i'd say donaire...he has pulled off some beautiful counters against top opposition..

i completely forgot about those, it is amazing but it is not as difficult to execute as donaire left hook counter, esspecially the one vs montiel, must have opponent read to the tee and not to mention that timing to avoid taking damage from the right hand you have to roll

donaire has the knack of taking the perfect amount from the opponents power to be in range to land that short, powerful textbook hook

yeah rigo is a counter-puncher in nature, but donaire has more polished counter, so what if you can counter but cant get the perfect hit

You can make the same argument in Rigo's case tho. You're the most opened when attacking the body.

                    you can't compare them actually
you could much easily pull off rigo's move vs a same level opponent than donaire's, you'll likely get ko'd a couple of times trying donaire's move, takes impeccable timing

try it in sparring, attempting donaire's move you'll have an overwhelming urge to break up your stance to lean back and make sure you dont get caught big from the punch you are attempting to counter, and when you do that awkward pull back, it will have become more of an arm punch, turn into something more like floyd's check hook on hatton

Yes because the amateurs is so similar to the pro. Do you know that floyd lost in the Olympics. Do you also know the guy who beat floyd didn't amount to **** in the pro. And yes floyd got robbed in the Olympics.
