He's got ATG skills but his resume is not that deep like pacquiao and mayweather's. He's an ATG for me though, depends on people's opinion.

..he has skills of all time great but he just want beating bum fighters . that's why his resume is not enough for ATG

Marquez resume speaks for itself but his two biggest wins were questionable.

The fight with a faded Barrera could have gone either way and Nady missing the KD and deducting a point in round 7 giving him a 4 point swing was dodgy at best.
The 4th Pac fight Marquez hired a trainer with a questionable past and suddenly looked more powerful than ever. Nothings been proven but with so many recent scandals it wouldnt surprise me. Marquez is a guy who would do anything to win afterall, just look at what he did in the Mayweather 24/7 for proof.

Having said that he has never been stopped and apart form the Floyd fight hjas been competative in his losses.

He got lucky and beat Manny one time. But if he's an all time great then so is Buster Douglas.

Plus there is the whole PEDs thing. A lot of people suspect that he is not clean because of Heredia.

He didn't get lucky at all. He was searching for that punch the whole fight. He also clearly beat Manny in fight 3. In fact apart from the KO fight 3 was the clearest fight of them all. I really have no problem with Manny fans scoring the first two for Manny, but the reality is that these are the only viable results if we are being honest.

                  - 1 draw, 3 wins JMM
                  - 1 draw, 1 win MP, 2 wins JMM
                  - 2 wins Manny, 2 wins JMM
                  - 4 wins JMM

We can honestly make a case that Manny won fights 1 and 2. He has no case in fight 3, and we all saw fight 4.

Dodgy at best? Barrera was lucky to have only had one point taken off. 95% of people get disqualified immediately for an intentional foul that blatant.

People need to rewatch it anyway. It was a close, but very clear win for Marquez. The fan favourite was Barrera, at that point, who hadn't lost one fight since the Pac fight, and had just come off wins over Juarez, Peden and Morales over the last few years.

People wanted Barrera to win, and HBO were so bias it was disgraceful. The better work overall was done by Juan easily. However, Barrera would flurry and try to take the last 30 seconds and HBO would go nuts about it. It's one of those silly fights that people take completely out of context and miss a lot in because of absurd commentary and fan favouritism.

Marquez won. Turn the nuthugging sound off and watch the whole fight properly, not the last 30 seconds of each round.

Has Douglas has a relative career that has been an 8 time, 4 division champion, oldest lineal lightweight champ in history, wins over ATG's/HOFers, with about 15 champions beaten over nearly two decades, from 126 to 147 without a single KO loss?

Not really. Even without the Pac win, Marquez was a lock HOFer. Douglas was basically a one hit wonder that doesn't even get remotely close to being a HOFer.

This place is hilarious. These same guys saying this stuff are probably the same people that now talk about Sergio Martinez as a HOFer now.

Marquez nothing but a lucky HOFer with only one good win, while Martinez is a HOFer and modern middleweight legend....That's NSB for ya.

As to whether he actually is an ATG, I'd say he's a lower tier type ATG. He obviously doesn't get up there with the Ali, Robinson, Greb, Armstrong, Duran types, nor does he make it to the Hearns, Pac, Floyd, Jones, Hopkins level, but I'd say he's right about there just a little below. To me, considering boxing's long history, that is an ATG.

People are also overlooking his career. He's only come to prominence and greatness the last few years, along with fan exposure, but he wasn't doing nothing before this.

He has beaten 15 champions over his career from memory. That's about the same as Pac, Barrera, Morales etc.
