Only in the past could you get dropped by a blown up 213lb cruiser (with more decisions than stoppages at HW) not known for his power and still have an iron chin. Or rocked by a journeyman with a 43% KO ratio like Tubbs.

In this era getting rocked by a 6'4 240lb dominant champion gets you labeled as having a glass chin. In this era getting dropped by a 6'6 240lb boxer known for his power gets you labeled glass chin.

Doesn't make any sense at all.
The only thing that doesnt make sense how you are giving credit to Wilder for Bowes wins with a better skilled Holyfield ,

Tubbs rocked Bowe ?Maybe in Wilder fanboy land but not in reality .

Actually Tubbs would defeat every Wilder opponent except Ortiz !

Does Wilder have a glass chin? He was rocked by 233 pounder Spzilka with a poor K.O % .......233 is under 240 ? right .lol

The likes of Golota is the only big guy Bowe was outmatched ........ he was also 240 pounds and was able to set everything up with a jab by out jabbing Bowe .

Wilder doesnt out jab you ,so what is he going to do ? Trade with Bowes inside game? lol

Bowe also stopped doing things to set up punches after the Holyfield fights ,he became more hittable ,you are just using time periods to fit your puzzle pieces .

This is why you guys get mocked on here !

This was such an amateurish response, lol. Bowe used his size against Holy and he couldn't against Golota who boxed him rather than fight inside.

Bowe was scared of Lewis. Scared of him...and he was scared because of Lewis's big right hand which stopped him in the Olympics. Guess what, Wilder has a big right hand. I don't pick the winner of fights with fighters in their prime and retired fighters, but I just thought that this response was so simple that I couldn't let it go by lol.

Holyfield does not hit harder than Ortiz or most HW's of today nor does Tubbs.

Who has Ortiz been hurt or dropped by? When has he ever gassed? A fat fighter is like late 90's Foreman, Ortiz actually has definition on his stomach and huge obliques. I think you're thrown off by Ortiz's very poor posture which makes him look fatter than he is.

That's a healthy kind of fat, if he was as fat as you say he is he'd have shown signs of gassing which he never has.
Jennings wasn't a puncher, Ortiz didn't face a dangerous puncher so we have no way to gauge he's chin. As for the fat, not only was he fat but he also had high blood pressure. Late 90s Foreman had no health issues and one punch power, more experience, and had fought several title holders and beaten them. Ortiz had never even fought a champion let alone beat him.

Tubbs couldn't even beat the journeymen from his own era, that's the flaw in your argument. 1 year after giving Bowe hell he lost to a part time boxer previously KO'd multiple times.

Szpilka has a 70% KO ratio, he's not a light puncher at all, he's a much bigger puncher than the likes of Holyfield or Tubbs and I don't recall Wilder getting rocked. Holyfield was never known for being a heavy hitter, not in this era, not in the last era.

Any decent fighter could jab Bowe, he was there to be hit by anybody, he talks the way he does today for a reason. Wilder dropped Ortiz and hurt him with power jabs, vs Stiverne he pumped out 420 (35 per round), when you give Wilder a target he will land them on you.

Holyfield and Tubbs weren't punchers either, but despite getting dropped by Holyfield and rocked by Tubbs Bowe he's described as having one of the toughest chins of all time.

Ortiz had never been down, never been hurt by punchers with similar KO ratios. 90's Foreman hit 205lb Holyfield with everything he had and he withstood it, 90's Foreman was losing to journeymen. This is a joke. If AJ/Wilder/Ortiz teed off on a 205lb fighter's head for 12 full rounds without a knock down their power would get laughed at.

Compare the 90's southpaws to Ortiz and you'll see Ortiz was on an entirely different level. Jeff Wooden was a small journeyman that used to give contenders/champions absolute hell. Moorer was a LHW that moved all the way up to HW and became champion. None of these men have the power, the durability, or size of an Ortiz.

Wilder and it's not even a question. Bowe was just too slow, in the early rounds of the first fight Holyfield was getting in and out without problem, imagine with Wilder who has around the same speed as Holyfield but has the reach to fight out of Bowe's range. Wilder would jab his head for 2-3 rounds and go for the kill with the right, does'nt matter how though Bowe was, he wouldn't be able to take this sort of punishment for so long and his defense wouldn't help
