Fight negotiations these days are tough. Arum invented the art of leveraging the A side vs the B before it was perfected by Oscar and raised to another level by Floyd.

Today establishing side A vs B is the marketing fight before the fight and Oscar / Canelo won that battle years ago.

Frankly, I'm grateful that Tom fought hard but didn't let that get in the way of the rematch.
Its always about the $$$$. Always has been, always will.

Yes like when ggg lost to jacobs & all 3 judges gave it to him anyways,2 judges gave him BS 115-112 scores & nobody bats an eye, then in his next fight(canelo) Don Trella (who gave ggg 115-112 bs score vs jacobs) judged the fight 114-114 & all the dsab ggg nutgoblers cry robbery(as they'd promised beforehand if their diva didn't get the ko & get gifted the fight anyways)

Yes. Trella’s scorecard looked like this:

          Canelo 114
          Christmas Tree 114

so not only do you argue that ggg lost to Canelo despite 90 plus percent of press row scores had ggg winning, but now he lost to jacobs too? Here are some press row scores. Pretty similar to how the official judges had it scored.

I just rewatched the fight & ggg most def was a Christmas tree,he was getting lit up all night long, he got peppered with so much heat that he would shake his head over & over again after getting lit up,it looked like a dog that got flicked in the nose & started sneezing everywhere.

Watch the 1st rd in this fight & you will immediately notice it,if canelo throws 10 pinches More a rd as he plans to do,he will be able to win easily as can be,ggg is too slow, flat footed,1 dimensional.

This is what GGG did the entire fight

Byrd's 119-109 Trout over Cotto was pretty bad. Trout won pretty easy but not by an almost complete shutout??
