As a Spanish fighter with little potential to have a fanbase in the states due to his nationality, a belt is the only way to financially secure himself in boxing. Otherwise he's just a high risk low reward fighter that nobody wants to fight. Cloud gets to have a huge fight against Hopkins on HBO because of that belt while Campillo has to start all over and settle for Sergey Kovalev on NBC Sports. The fact that this isn't the first time that this happened to him makes it especially bad.

Pacquiao getting robbed, while it got major media attention, isn't really a big deal. Pacquiao will continue making millions as if it never happened.

I agree, Cloud vs Campillo and Rios vs Abril were the biggest robberies of the year. Pac vs Bradley could've went either way and if your for workmanship Bradley was the winner because he outworked Pac. I wonder where the outrage was after Pac vs Marquez 3. Marquez didn't give the judges a chance the 4th time :-)

There was outrage, but much less since most people saw Pac JMM 3 as a very close fight, Pac Bradley a blowout. The average press scores were 114-114 vs 117-111, see below:

          http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Ma...imothy_Bradley

Among the experts above, 121 scored the bout for Pacquiao, 1 scored the bout a draw, and 1 scored the bout for Bradley.

Among the unofficial scorers above, 57 scored the bout for Marquez, 51 scored the bout for Pacquiao, and the remaining 36 scored the bout a draw.

Not only was the Pac/Bradley fight a robbery for Pac but at the same time it was also a robbery for Marquez making Mexican history by winning a title in a 5th weight dividion. Had the decision gone to Pac the way it should have. Marquez would be the current welterweight champ.

Marquez is widely recognized as the champ anyways, he beat Pacquiao last year and KHTFO this year.

We all know who the better man is..... the last man standing !!

Why should Pacquiao get credit for only fighting the last minute of every round and allowing himself to be out-hustled?

Why should Pacquiao get credit for missing wildly? Compubox recorded everything he threw including punches that clearly missed.

Why should Pacquiao get credit for unnecessarily expending energy? That is why he faded down the stretch.

Why should Pacquiao get credit for providing opportunities for his opponents? We saw what happened when he tried that with Marquez, but against Bradley it was a successful strategy? Not.

That was a very close fight, like most predicted, Rios/Abril was not.

We shouldn't concern ourselves with these little anomalies who think "it was close".
OK pac-stain, lets just ignore the facts and pump the "Manny is adorable" line, good for you.

Exactly, even the judge who awarded the fight to Pac had it close.

Abril / Rios was not close, it was a wide decision.

Rios v Abril was much worse IMO. Brandon was raped.

If Pac Bradley was a robbery how come half of the posts in this thread disagree? Bradley won the first 3 rounds and the last 3 rounds easy....the middle rounds were Pacs if you don't mind him doing nothing for 2 out of 3 minutes per round. The problem with boxing is there are so many robberies that when judges pay attention in a megafight they get criticized. Floyds fight with Cotto should have been a draw but boxing is such a joke here in the USA that him losing his '0' has to be damn near staged as a catastrophic event to make the most $$ off of it.
