I really doubt that Buster would have given a re-match right away. He would have done the same as hed did do, that being showing up for his next fight out of shape and 20lbs heavier. A re-match would have been all Tysons.............Rockin'

tyson wins early douglas was lucky in the first fight tyson was unmotavated and prob under trained and had a dum ass corner also douglas got a gift decision by the ref he was cleary down for over 13secs also the kd was right at the end of the round so tyson had no chance to follow up people will say douglas made his luck that nite due to the fact he boxed amazing,if their was a rematch tyson would be up for it and douglas couldnt put that display in again even if he does he still losses

Both Tysons and Douglas counts were of the same duration. Tyson had no advantage.

You're being a serious idiot saying Douglas was "lucky".

"Tyson couldn't finish up." That's just... erm... a stupid thing to complain about lets be honest.

IMO, Douglas enters the rematch out of shape just like he was for Holyfield, fat and just there to get paid. Tyson on the other hand enters ready to go, and he takes back the title with an easy, early KO. Douglas fought the fight of his (or any other) life in Tokyo, but proved (against Holy) he had no desire or interest in maintaining that level of fitness and/or performance.

Douglas came in HIGHLY Motivated and inspired the man fought a great great fight, the fight of his life easily and he still nearly got KO'd by an ill prepared over confident champion in Tyson.

A rematch would have been all Tyson, Buster wouldnt have had that fire in him again as shown vs Evander and Tyson would have had a big point to prove
