Its as relevant as telling me your neighbor down the block wants to ban gun ownership.
      Exactly!

And Im not against gun ownership at all. Im absolutely for it. I have alot of relatives and friends who own guns. None of them pretend that its to protect "we the people" from the "tyranny of government" though. They look at them more like toys and collectors items.

Anyway, at what point do we stop letting scare tactics control us though?
        Lol

Gun control advocates use scare tactics

The us in the 2000s have the lowest murder rates since like the 19 60s

But they got you idiots thinking ppl are getting killed left and right with assault rifles

          2.

Whenever there's a mass shooting, there's always massive gun control talk.

Ppl buy guns in case it gets banned.

          1. They get scared of what and want to protect themselves from what?

Mass murderers dont come in waves. Thank god. They arent in any more danger then they were before.

          2. Like i said, its so far from getting banned that the idea itself is completely ridiculous.

Who is telling these people that they need to be scared of a) another attack and b) losing their gun rights?

This thread isnt even about me being for gun control.

Sheesh, dude, can you give this left/right thing a rest sometimes?

            Try reading for a change.

              Why?

What's the point when you'll just keep making more and more?

You've reduced yourself to repeated use of fallacy. My work is done.

You had nothing to say after I pointed out to you that the same Senator was a member of the majority party in the Senate and they had 60 votes. They also had the majority in the House. They also had the Presidency and nothing was done. Now the party of that Senator doesn't have the majority in the Senate, House, nor does that party have the Presidency. If they were going to do something it would've been done in when they had the majority. Nothing was done then and nothing is going to be done now that the party of the NRA is in power. So like Allboxing said, it's ridiculous to think the government is going to take our guns.

                But muh one Senator

I don't need to respond to your non sequiturs.

They are fallacy, so no need to.

If you think you can somehow offer up an effective rebuttal to a completely factual statement I made, you're free to keep flailing away.

A sitting US Senator has advocated a gun ban.

                    It is what is.

And a whole bunch of 'But.....' nonsense doesn't change that.

This, I think, is the correct and most logical answer.
