  • PBC: Mikey Garcia vs Figueroa Jr. That's A Good Fight!

Last Figueroa Jr bout the PBC script kept saying He wants to get back to 140...

Man, I think this fight will happen. Two Mexican Americans shy of Oscar vs Vargas, the poor mans or new generation for PBC.

    mikey knocks figueroa out easily

figuero has brittle hands, inactive and has been fortunate with decisions, just not on mikeys level

Figueroa's defence is his face. Mikey would massacre him.

Figueroa Jr. Said he's waiting for another title shot. I'm thinking about PBC matchups and the narratives. Crawford vs Molina Jr. happened... and did Lundy...

Why wouldn't Haymon advise Garcia vs Figueroa Jr., that's a huge fight in Los Angeles!!!! He just beat Guerrero non stop. Lol. Telling y'all this is on radar!!!

            Garcia wants the big names.
Who would you rather lose against if you were Mikey?
            Figueroa or Thurman?
            Waste of time.

Figueroa Jr. was waking around 190 months ago per PBC commentary. Figueroa Jr. has had trouble getting back down to 140. Wasn't the DeMarco bout originally a catch yet both came in on the scales 152+?

Figueroa Jr. at 140 again, if he can do it, or rather what if Figueroa Jr. just bottled with inactivity and can't do 140 without problems? That can be an advantage for Mikey. Both have to risk it.

Regarding Thurman, Mikey was cautious and Broner was able to snap Garcia's head back with the Jab... as Chino told Mikey, "he hits hard...."

Fighting Thurman puts Mikey in dangerous water. Keith can seriously rattle Mikey.

                Panterita ices him in 4.

Way too much volume for Mikey.

It might even be that Figueroa Jr. requests 147 or a catch at 144-145. PBC can play to script to get Mikey ready for 147. Mikey can't go around parading he wants big fights without even having had a strap at 140. Unless of course the theory that Mikey seriously wants to risk his 0 at 147 with elites. 147 top hit harder than Broner.

That's a good idea if Mikey's serious about that 147 jump.
