none but wlad is a sure fire HOFer but vitali is no sure thing at all. actually i would be surprised if he gets in the hall considering how many contenders he DIDN't fight during his era. he fought no one from the 90's other then kirk johnson, larry donald, byrd, lennox & briggs. there are so many guys he could have fought but he didn't. he carefully handpicked his opponents his whole career. everyone says he can only beat who "they" put in front of him..."they" is him since he & wlad are the ones who promote themselves & pick their own opponents & vitali always went with guys who couldn't reach or hurt him. his 2 best opponents he is 0-2 regardless of how the fight was going...

That's why they will never be ATG's

True... but the lack of HOF opposition leaves legitimate doubt of his all time ranking among the greats.

If Calzaghe ended his career before it did, his ranking would be legitimately doubted (it's still doubted, but more so because of the resentment he garnered during the years of his prime - and other great fighters' primes - he seemingly wasted -similar to Chris John if he decided to start facing the best opposition - and because of his (Calzaghe's) fans).

Without Ward and Froch, Bute could've been able to dominate the Super Middleweight division for years after facing decent competition already during his tenure as the IBF titleholder.

When a shopworn Ray Mercer, Chris Byrd, and David Haye are the best opponents a fighter's ever faced, his all time ranking is legitimately in question.

They're so dominating that they don't allow anyone become great. Maybe if it was Only one instead of two it'll be easier for the guys getting their asses whooped to make a bigger name for themselves.

Really? The same Arreola who still have NEVER beaten a serious top ten fighter? The Klit's prevented that?

              Yeah. Not so much.

Honestly, can't think of one. If I'm wrong, school me.

Vitaly beat Lewis but was robbed by the corrupt ref and doctor. It was Lewis' braids that caused the cuts!
