I don't accept your question. It really depends on what you consider "betterment of mankind". If you wanna talk about Social Liberal Vs Social Conservative...then you might wanna have that debat with One_Christian if there is one in here..

Stop trying to break it down to fit whatever argument you want to win.

Plain and simple, what philosophy do you think has improved the living conditions of all mankind?

    Conservatism or Liberalism?

Reread my post again and make your definition more specific. If giving you gay rights and abortion is Liberal...then you've got it. Republicans ended slavery.

Not on economics...not on what made this country as prosperous as it was.

Liberals and Abraham Lincoln ended slavery. Dont get it twisted.

You think if this republican group was around during Lincoln's time they would be for ending slavery? Lincoln's republicans is not the same as todays republicans. Not by a long shot.

is capitalism conservatism? Im a classic liberal and i support a fiscally conservative plan.

Classic liberals support capitalism. Conservatives today support oligarchy.

Someone doesn't know the definition of liberal and falsely believe its synonymous with Democrat.

I don't understand how Marco Rubio has any support. This guy was exposed as a corrupt ******ed mouthpiece when he ran for Senate here in Florida. That he's actually more popular now than he was then blows my mind. People in this country are lumping idiots.

Ha..you a classical liberal, that's a hoot. Did you just look that word up. Classical Liberal = Conservative or Libertarian in those times But of course they don't use the word LIberal anymore because of the new association to that word. What you fail to understand is that Humans as a whole were more savage in the old days then they are today. It has nothing to do with Conservatism/Liberalism. You're stuck in a left vs right paradigm.

Big Govt Liberals who wanted subsidies and other govt assistance were in favor of Slavery back in those days. And Conservative-Christian types were also in favor of slavery. It was a bi-partisan consensus on slavery; and equally there was a bi-partisan opposition to slavery from people who were in favor of Big Govt and those against it. Using that time to justify Socialism is just not gonna cut it. Using those times to justify corrupted Unions which we needed at one point for legitimate reasons but don't even need anymore...and who hurt the average worker. Embrace Capitalism and stop your semantics nonsense.

watched Obama and the reply. Rubio has no charisma. GOP will never rule again. More immigration is needed to ensure the devil knows his place.
