Why would Pac need Thurman? For anything. I think the only guy Pac needs is Mayweather, but he's unlikely to get him so anything he does at this point is an older guy who doesn't know how to leave on a high note.

Truthfully, Pac's legacy won't change much by beating Thurman, Garcia, Crawford, etc. His legacy-building days are over. He already has a great rep so it's not like GGG where he needs names before retiring. It sorta doesn't matter what Manny does at this point.

Floyd already done JMW limit with Oscar before, and a bigger Alvarez at 152. That's not the same as a catchweight with a Margarito for a vacant 154 title.

Rios was pushing Pac's body on the back foot whenever he landed haymakers with Pac's guard up. Thurman is notorious at pushing dude's back with powershots that can't sustain a turtle guard. Thurman is like x3 heavier handed than Rios. It would be a remake of when Marquez knocked down Pac with the guard up in Rd 3, bout 4.
