  • Fight Night Champion CAB Thread

I had a pretty extensive thread for my iterations of FNR4 created fighters. Well, with a new game comes a new thread so here's my first CAB, the Brown Bomber himself, Joe Louis.

    Joe Louis: Overall 91

    Height: 6'2"
    Reach: 76"
    Stance: Orthodox
    Style: Balanced
    Block Style: Textbook
    Punch Style: Speed
    Tendencies
    Body Snatcher: 50% : Headhunter
    Counter Puncher: 55% : Aggression
    Single Punches : 80% : Combinations
    Fast Punches : 70% : Hard Punches
    Inside Fighter : 30% : Outside Fighter
    Never Clinches : 45% : Clinches Often
    Blocks Punches : 45% : Moves Head
    Never Taunts : 0% : Taunts Often
    Plodder : 5% : Mover
    Fights Clean : 0% : Fights Dirty
    Left Hook Frequency: 90%
    Right Hook Frequency: 80%
    Jab Frequency: 75%
    Straight Frequency: 85%
    Left Uppercut Frequency: 60%
    Right Uppercut Frequency: 80%

    LU Body: 16
    RU Body: 19
    Combinations: 20
    Blocking: 15
    Head Movement: 16
    Chin: 14
    Heart: 17
Notes: The new CAB formulas are kinda cumbersome with all the tendencies, but it's exactly that kind of detail that I LOVE. The tendency percentages are just how "full" that bar is, it's the only way I thought I could really show the tendencies. Anyhow, onto Louis himself, he's a beast. Using him is just a matter of patience because if you keep throwing those short two-and-three-punch combinations inside, you will get at the very least a knockdown. He's just a brutal puncher. It's really tempting to just try and bomb your opponent into oblivion, but that's a bad idea. First his Endurance isn't too high which means that he tires quickly (but his Conditioning is high so he'll be alright over the course of a fight). Like I said, two-and-three-punch combinations are your bread and butter. Second, his chin is fairly mediocre. Against a puncher, yeah, there's a good chance that you knock him out, but there's a decent chance that Louis ends up on the canvas. Overall, I could not be happier with this CAB, he's an animal. 10/10.

    Juan Manuel Marquez: Overall 88

    Height: 5'6"
    Weight: 126 lbs
    Reach: 67"
    Stance: Orthodox
    Style: High Rise
    Block Style: Textbook
    Punch Style: Speed
    Tendencies
    Body Snatcher: 75% : Headhunter
    Counter Puncher: 40% : Aggression
    Single Punches : 90% : Combinations
    Fast Punches : 60% : Hard Punches
    Inside Fighter : 60% : Outside Fighter
    Never Clinches : 15% : Clinches Often
    Blocks Punches : 75% : Moves Head
    Never Taunts : 0% : Taunts Often
    Plodder : 30% : Mover
    Fights Clean : 5% : Fights Dirty
    Left Hook Frequency: 60%
    Right Hook Frequency: 70%
    Jab Frequency: 50%
    Straight Frequency: 90%
    Left Uppercut Frequency: 70%
    Right Uppercut Frequency: 50%
    When Hurt: Fights Back
    Athleticism:
    -Strength: 88
    -Speed: 90
    -Endurance: 84
    -Conditioning: 93
    -Toughness: 95
    -Reflexes: 88
    -Cuts: 76
    -Swelling: 84

    Skills:
    Jab Head: 15
    Straight Head: 20
    LH Head: 17
    RH Head: 17
    LU Head: 20
    RU Head: 15
    Jab Body: 12
    Straight Body: 13
    LH Body: 19
    RH Body: 16
    LU Body: 9
    RU Body: 10
    Combinations: 20
    Blocking: 14
    Head Movement: 15
    Chin: 14
    Heart: 20
Notes: So. My man. Juan Manuel Marquez doesn't jump off the page athletically like some guys but his skills are consistently sick with high teens and twenties all over the place. His strategy is actually pretty similar to Louis, only he likes to counter going backward rather than lead going forward. Throw some nasty counter combinations, shoot for a late round KO and cover up a vulnerable chin. He'll link the combinations together flawlessly, too, no need to worry about what you're throwing. It'll flow. Overall, this is another good one, 10/10.

EDIT: Added a head-on and profile picture for you guys who want to make the faces. I'm really much more interested in the attributes/tendencies so I won't break my back trying to find these, but I'll try and get them up for the fighters I put up.

Yeah, I wish I had my internet situation sorted out. It's kinda jarring.

Yeah finding good front and side pics is the tough part. Anyone can create their ratings.

I will say this, I looked at a few created boxers that where uploaded yesterday mid day and they looked ****ty.

I used the game face and created one fighter and he came out pretty well. Gonna tinker with it more when I find time.

Notes: Jorge Arce is the most shockingly violent fighter I have ever seen. All-out aggression with a tremendously powerful left hook, both to the head and to the body. He's sort of one handed and he thinks that defense is for fags, but he wins on just pure balls-out aggression and power. Now this CAB has pretty much all his volume sliders maxed out and it's still not quite Arce enough, but it's close. Just watch out for his body attack and you can beat him with some decent boxing. It's easier said than done, but it should be damn near impossible when I figure out how to get his volume up to where it should be. Seriously, against Rosendo Alvarez, he threw 560 punches in 5 ROUNDS. Overall, I rate this one an 8/10.
