❌👑 Ring Magazine appear to have STRIPPED Canelo Alvarez of their middleweight title. They controversially had previously allowed him to keep it despite his suspension, but it is now listed as vacant on their website.

Cotto and Canelo were never really middleweight champs to begin with. They never fought or defended the title at 160 pounds. Cotto won the title at a catchweight of 159. Took a year vacation. Then fought Geale who GGG has recently KOed at a catchweight of 157 and finally lost the pretend middleweight title to Canelo at yet another catchweight of 155. Then Canelo defended his pretend WBC title against glass jawed welterweight Khan at a 155 pound catchweight. All this time GGG was the obvious challenger but failed to get a fight with Martinez and then Cotto and finally with Canelo. Finally the WBC stripped Canelo for refusing to fight GGG but Ring own by Oscar kept Canelo as their champion.
