That is funny because Floyd has about 7 likely hall of famers on his resume~

Genaro, Gatti, JLC, Corrales, JMM, Mosley and Oscar

You do know what the boxing Hall of Fame is about right~?

      ALL IN A ROW!

      Unparalled in modern boxing.
Guys always lose value after he beats them. Corley is more than a scrub right. Especially back then. N'dou was considered a beast with 30 of 31 wins by KO.

5 weight division champion. From all of those titles won the opponent considered in the Top 3 in the division.

        3 Lineal titles.

8 defences of the Jr Lightweight Lineage, 3 title defences of the Lightweight title.

In a nuthshell why Floyd Mayweather is an ATG.

          The 15 months inactive Mosley?

          The underachieving Judah?

          The turtle slow Baldomir?

          The non-Hall of Famer Corrales?

The Ward I, II, and III veteran Gatti?

          Samba Mitchell who?

If Floyd never ducked active Mosley, Margarito, and Cotto, would he be getting more respect today from highly knowledgeable boxing fans?

none, us real fans who know boxing and it's history, those who aren't blinded by flash and SELF PROCLAIMED titles know better and are still waiting for floyd to actually fight that fight which would make him a true ATG, not self proclaimed or assumed because of his physical talents.

he has the goods, he has the skills, he has more than the ability, but he hasn't fought that fight, he hasn't been in the ring with someone we all want to see him fight, and he really hasn't taken any risks in his fights.

there isnt one fight with the exception of the chico fight where he was an underdog, he's always been a favorite, and pertaining to chico, the only thing that made people hold out on calling floyd the overwhelming favorite was corrales had one punch ko power, which was a wild card, and we saw how those styles played out.

until floyd fights through real adversity against a real threat and over comes, he's not an ATG, at best he's a POTENTIAL atg, POTENTIAL............. the jury is still out on that one, and it's all predicated on who he fights and beats....... and all of that is one big IF.............

It's unlikely any of those fighters will get into the HOF but they are all very good fighters and good solid wins for Mayweather.

              He wasn't.

Floyd has a list of good wins.

              N'dou wasn't one of them.

                no, zab just beat corley.

corley lost like 10 of 13 fights starting with the loss to zab. so how did he turn out. it wasn't just cuz oif floyd like you are implying. that's why he's not highly regarded

zab was already BLOWN out by kostya and never proved to be ****e at 147.

Almost guaranteed all those guys get in.

The Hall of Fame is more of a popularity contest and with Genaro he is going to get a lot of sympathy votes going forward when you consider his battle with cancer.

just cuz they go in the hall doesn't mean shi t (and most of them won't). there's no hif fighter he fought close to their prime. if diego squeezes in its cuz of his wars, not boxing skill, same with gatti.

jmm is a joke, just like it will be when pac beats him at 147. jmm was 2 weight classes fom his maximum weight.

floyd definitely has some very solid wins. but no career defining win--YET.

You can say that but once those guys get in the Hall of Fame and people look back without knowing all they will know is he fought this many Hall of Fame guys and they had to have reason to get in.

Be mad at it if you want but that is how it will go.

Floyd career as currently constructed is not about any one defining moment it is about consistency and longevity which are both very rare in boxing, there is more than one way to skin a cat~
