How many people really know AJ in the US?

This is why I have said Wilder should get more of the pie in the US, while AJ gets more of the pie in the UK. Would AJ's delusional promoter (Eddie) and his fans accept that? Of course, they won't. Because they want AJ to get more money everywhere. Why? Pure foolishness.

I think it should be 60/40 or 65/35 US for Wilder (all revenue), 70/30 or 80/20 for AJ (all UK revenue); 55/45 or 60/40 for AJ the rest of the way. That's it. There is no reason under the surface of the sun why AJ should benefit infinitely more from the US under a crappy split.
    You CANNOT be serious.

There is no reason that Wilder should get a majority of ANY split in ANY circumstance. Not in the US, the UK, Germany, Australia, or anywhere.

Joshua is the draw worldwide. People barely know Wilder outside of Alabama. His last fight wasn't even sold out at the Barclays.

You mean to tell me that Hearn should pay Wilder more than 30% of a fight purse when he has never earned more than 1.4 million from his own team (you know, the one that has Haymon behind it)?

Nah bruh. Hearn isn't that dumb.

        • This is why the Parker deal is so hard, Team Joshua could easily just pay him and make the fight 35% is high but not unworkable for them, but if they give Parker 35% they have to cough up even more to Wilder who is worth more because that is a bigger fight with a fighter from an actual important market.

So they need to whittle Parker down as far as possible to keep Wilder's number better inline, because while Wilder and his team knows they will not get 50% Team Joshua knows they will have to pay Wilder more than Parker most likely a lot more.

            What Vegas money?

He's fought once in Vegas and that was almost three years ago. He hasn't fought there since.

He's not near a level to bring a high profile fight to Vegas or anywhere in America.

We are not that far removed from someone who held a heavyweight title for ten years and didn't fight in Vegas once during that reign.

Vegas works for fighters that have a good following in the US. That is something that Wilder does not have.

            • Wilder demanding 50/50 is just an excuse for him not to fight, if he was confident he would win, he would ask for what he’s worth, like 70/30. GGG was confident he would win and agreed to reasonable split to make the Canelo fight, even though he has 3 major titles and Canelo has none. AJ generates more $ then Wilder does right now and it will just get worse as AJ gets more endorsements and sells out more Stadiums

Joshua is not a bigger draw in the US and he isn't that big anywhere but the UK while be slightly bigger in continental Europe but he is not some big deal there.

Wilder is much bigger in the US, if you can't accept that reality then don't talk on the subject.

Both Parker and Wilder know that they would get paid way more than what they are worth. That is why 30% for Parker and 33% for Wilder should be as good as it should get for them.

Hearn does not want to put up too much money if he's not going to get the return that he wants.

No it shouldn't Wilder is a key to the US market for them, that is worth a hell of a lot more than 3% difference, Wilder will get like 40% overall and will be worth every penny as long as Joshua wins.

                    • Name me US fighters that pull 10k attendance on a regular basis, including in New York more than once in fights no one were that amped for?

How many fighters pull TV ratings like Wilder on Showtime and PBC, pretty much their biggest stars.

So Wilder is pretty good when it comes to bringing the US market, and certainly for a huge fight with his willingness to talk and sell a fight along with his knock out clips he should be able to spin it into something pretty damn big stateside and help out making it as big as possible in the UK.

How is that not worth good cut?
