2011 has been a pretty grim year for fights.

So my question which year produced the best fights in a 12 months span?

-Felix Trinidad vs Fernando Vargas
-Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley I
-Naseem Hamed vs Augie Sanchez

-Ben Tackie vs Robert Garcia

Just look at the fights that took place within about a month span in November and December.

Wilfredo Gomez-Lupe Pintor
Dwight Muhammad Qawi-Eddie Davis
Bobby Chacon-Bazooka Limon 4

You also had Ray Mancini-Duk Koo Kim. Obviously the tragedy overshadowed what has been said to be a very good action fight (I never watched it).

Earlier in that year, Larry Holmes-Gerry Cooney was a megabout and a pretty entertaining fight IMO.

Aaron Pryor-Akio Kameda was also an exciting title fight.
