Vargas was the youngest 154 lb champ with wins over Quartey, Wright, Marquez, Campas

I don't see much of a contest really.

I never said it was, but their accomplishments on top of their epic fight should get them in.

a hell of a lot better than oktay urkal, lol

everybody on that list will have his name on the hall of fame ballot

they let three guys in each year who were participants (boxers)

and you can vote for up to ten paricipants

it's all a matter of who is on each ballot each year. if there are weak years these guys will get in. if they dont have classes that they can beat out for top spots then they will sit on the ballot.

hatton, for instance, will undoubtedly make the hall of fame on the strength of his popularity and following (he was also at or around the top at 140 for a long time, and only lost to the planet's two best fighters, but i wouldnt vote for the guy.) he just needs a weak year and guys will vote for him

I highlighted Urkal instead of Mitchell because I had a Tszyu fan on NSB tell me how great Oktay Urkal win was for Tszyu, just to make a point. The Mitchell was good for Tszyu though.

I think Tyszu is more deserving than any of them. He was a long reigning real champion of his division. Not to mention a highly skilled fighter.

finally you've typed something worthy of recognition!!!!!!

                    agreed.

we cant forget to ask ourselves :

who is the better ****in fighter?

looking at his fights (and not the names or their impact, but the fights,) how good is this guy?
                    how great is this guy?

                    that's the other half

one half of it you can read about in the records and the history books and the newspapers
the other half you do with your eyes.

who is the better truckin fighter?
