yeah but we're talking about the 80's. Jordan had nobody to guard on defense and there weren't any skilled defensive players to guard Jordan.

Lebron has to shut down skill players on defense then go the other way and score against great modern day defenders.

I know you're gonna bring up hand checking but that didn't matter cuz in the 80's you weren't allowed to clog the lane. That was considered illegal defense. Players had to play man-to-man and couldn't even hang off the guy they were guarding.

It was a lot easier to play in the 80's...no disrespect to Jordan.

BUT having said that, 10 triple doubles in 11 games is still very impressive obviously.

We still pretending Lebron isn't far and away the best player in the league?

I caught the tail end of that game by luck. Triple doubles, high scoring is not the news here. It's his efficiency. To make 30 points shooting under 20 times?

He is putting more emphasis on not over-shooting as a Top scorer, which is what usually gets ignored when some guy (Kobe) is on a "hot streak", scoring 40 points per game.

"For a more balanced view, consider this. Since 2003, when James entered the league, Bryant has taken 525 more shots than James … and scored 86 fewer points than him."

aaaaand he keeps going. now he has the record for most games in a row with 30+pts and 60+% for 6 straight games.

no one has ever done that before. not Jordan, not Wilt, not Kareem, not Bird.... nobody.

Lebron is on a whole nother level right now.

LeBron is a phenomenal player. He's definitely the best in the game right now. I say this and I don't even like LeBron at all. However, he's gets too much hype. People are asking if he's the best player ever. That's ludacris! LeBron aint no Jordan and he never will be. You wonder if these people ever saw Jordan play. Comparing LeBron to Michael at this point is laughable. LeBron would be lucky to reach Magic Johnson status.

This is one of the worst posts that I've ever seen. Do you know anything about the 80's Lakers, Celtics, or Pistons. Those teams were stacked with multiple HOF and tons of skilled players. Today's league is watered down. Players are more athletic now, but players were way more skilled back then. I suggest you go back and watch films with players like Magic, Jabar, Worthy, Cooper ( he couldn't defend lol), Bird, Mchale, Parrish, Johnson, Thomas, Dumars, Laimbeer, Rodman, Johnson, etc. Just look at how bad the current ECF is.

Hey Swizzy, can you give me two current players who are better defenders than Scottie Pippen and Gary Payton in their primes?
