To anyone that has ever smoked?

once you gave up and started boxing how long did it take before your lungs started 2 repair?
im a bit worried that previous smoking may have left lungs permenantly damaged

how long did you smoke for and what age did you quit?

If you have smoked for 20 years and have a smokers cough and just gave up, its likely your lungs aren't going to repair and you may get lung disease.

If you are like 20 something and smoked for a few years or on and off, it will probably improve gradually over 6 months until you wont notice it.

I think it takes about 3 years for your lungs to clear out but after 6 months or so your aerobic capacity should be to normal.

dont regret it, you did what you thought was right at the time, you cant go back, move on.

I smoke for 10 years...I quit 5 years ago...it took 6 weeks to feel good. It takes 7 years for your lungs to fully heal....

I feel great now though...
