Probably not. It is statistically impossible to come out on top. Eventually the odds are upset.

Put it this way, look at the revenue for these places. If people were winning more than they lost, casinos and betting facilities would not exist.

Yes and No if he's betting on 50/50 types of games. And that's self-explanatory. If it's like those games you see in casinos, yes. He'll lose everything.

It wouldn't surprise me if he won more than he lost. He seems to bet big money but doesn't seem to take many risks with his bets.

I think you never gambled yourself. If you dont take a lot of risk, then the only thing you can achieve in the long run is lose NOT A LOT OF money. But you still lose in the long run.
The more you risk, the faster and the more money you lose.
If you risk almost nothing, you dont lose a lot, but YOU STILL LOSE (in the long run).
            I talk from experience, bro

Yeah, because all that stuff was paid through gambling earnings

If Floyd was a winning gambler I would be shocked.

I live in Vegas and know many people who make more than they lose gambling. Its really not an odd thing at all. Theres millions of dumb tourists that come non stop thinking they know the game. It more than makes up for the winners.

Theres a big difference in people as gamblers. What me or you may do on occasion is much different than someone who bets regularly will do, and how they bet.

Its all strategy, and a small bit of luck.

actually I like to believe that I know exactly how gambling works and I also know boxing. I also gambled on soccer games in the past. and it doesnt matter whether you bet on the most simple bets like "team A wins" or whether you bet on "how many yellow cards will be in the 2nd half of the game". Bottom line is the betting odds are based on how likely something is going to happen. And the betting odds are also making sure the casino makes the most money. So if there is a 50:50 thing to happen (statistically), then the odds are decimal 1,80 instead of 2,0
That means the incident will happen at a 50 % probability, but you get paid less than double when you win.
So the betting odds ALWAYS make sure you dont win in the long run.

Of course the house will always have a built in vig. They have to make money, that doesnt mean the bettor cant make money too though. Just FYI, it begins with how likely the event is to occur, or how likely it is that more action will float to one side, theres a reason lines move. That is to entice action to the other side so the casino doesnt lose its ass in the event of an upset. The casinos profit is built in. They dont need you to win or lose, they just need even sides really.

All in all though, it seems as though your poll and question were rhetorical then since you clearly know all there is to know and seemingly believe there is no way for Floyd to be up. Or was the threads purpose just an attempt to show your betting prowess?

Either way, it sounds like you are a solid gambler who knows all there is to know. Please come to Vegas often. We have quite a few roads that need work.
