        Yes it is, theres just places in CA where you cant even apply.
        Sac county gives you three sheets of paper and says, "tell us why you need this" I used one sentence, to protect myself and family.

        Add in two interviews and a FBI background check and CCW class and its yours.

          I wasn't sure if it was the same for the entire state but I looked up info looks like each county makes up their own rules as they please..........weak.....

            Yeah so cal and SF bay area is a big no. They'll laugh at you. Nor cal its all good.

              • Ccw permit is up to local law enforcempda. I think. Not sure.

                LAPD will be no automatic.

                Try sheriffs or other pd.

                    So what happesn if you get one in SAC and come to SoCal? it is not valid?

                      Yes it's valid, but you cant get one unless you live in the county that issues it.
                      You can't say hey I live in sac when you don't. They require proof. I had to use two bills with my addy on them plus my ID with my address on it.
