I guess with like every remake or sequel after sequel franchise, they feel it needed to "get more serious" and "realistic" as it did with Batman and now Superman, compared to Christopher Reeve's Superman.

But not with Bond. The PG Melodrama and the charming, ladies man chauvinism made that character a hit. The fact that he never gets phased no matter in what jam he is in; always staying cool, calm and collected. You don't deviate from that because you feel it's gotten stale. If it has gotten stale, then stop making them. But apparently not; Skyfall was a success money wise and the criteria for judging has changed. They will make another one with CGI action that will compete with the latest "Die Hard" movie.
I saw no difference between this and the latest Taken sequel, other than Liam being a parent.
