Is Sturm vs. Hearns being televised in America?

  • #2
    99% sure it's not.

Hearns should have to turn his entire paycheck over to his father because that's the only reason he landed this fight.

This matchup is a damned shame, even by the terrible standards that boxing has set for itself.

Hearns was supposed to fight Brian Mihtar in a crossroads "All-Michigan" fight between 2 decent, but not world class, boxers. Mihtar was 13-1 and they both fought on the Dirrell-Abraham undercard.

Mihtar is from Dearborn, Hearns from Southfield, about 10 minutes apart. They had Caesaer's Palace Windsor booked for the fight and several solid Kronk fighters on the undercard.

Mihtar signed... Hearns just let the contract sit until the whole venture fell through.

He then turned around and fought 10-11 Robert Kliewer in Oklahoma instead.

Now Mihtar can't find a decent opponent and Hearns is getting a world title shot. Go ****ing figure.
